Michael F. “Mike” Hunsaker from Afton, Wyoming has recently accepted the General Manager position at Syringa Wireless, LLC, a new regional cellular provider in South and East Idaho (www.syringawireless.com). Hunsaker comes to Syringa Wireless from Silver Star Telephone Company, Inc., in Freedom, Wyoming where he has been employed during the past eight years as Plant and Special Projects Manager.

Hunsaker’s past experiences include three terms as mayor of Afton, Wyoming, six years as a trustee for Star Valley Medical Center in Afton, a member of the Leadership Wyoming class of 2003, and two terms as a board member of the Rural Independent Competitive Alliance, a national organization serving rural independent phone companies. He is currently serving on the Wyoming Public Television Council. Hunsaker was a charter member of the Star Valley Jaycees Chapter as well as a charter member of the Star Valley Rotary Club.

Hunsaker and his wife Shelley are the parents of five children and grandparents of four. Their family enjoys the outdoor opportunities that are available in eastern Idaho, and western Wyoming.
